Welcome

My first post. Ever. Of course, I'm not sure what to write... Hmm... Perhaps I should write something asinine, like how my kid just ate. (I don't have kids, but if I did then I'm sure you'd find it fascinating.)

Or... I could tell you all about:
what time I woke up. (7:30a.m. on a Saturday. Egregious! I said I woke up, did not say I got up.) 
how I walked the dog. (That's a lie.) 
how I enjoyed smoking a cigar. (Before breakfast?! ...and also a lie.) 
how I started a blog.  (Ding-ding-ding!)

I'm not exactly sure why I started a blog.  Come on, we all know how incredibly dumb blogging is in the first place... I can't imagine that anyone who doesn't know me AND isn't obligated to listen to me (my best friend, my boyfriend, my family, my coworkers (side note: everyone knows you're not paying attention in a meeting when you agree wholeheartedly and THEN ask 'What was the question?')).

Actually, I started this blog because a very wise man suggested it to me.  No, he's not 200 years old, white-haired, long beard, crossed-legged at the top of a mountain.  And, yes, it's quite possible, and highly likely, that he suggested it because he can't take any more of crazy stories...

I have a lot to say. Although, by all accounts, I make a quiet first impression!  I'm much more open and animated with those closest to me.  I'm also more expressive through writing.

I think what I want to accomplish here is telling anyone who cares to listen (read?) about my journey through life, as I've come to a point where there's so much I want to learn, to accomplish, to see, to feel, to experience.  I've finally found the beauty in Art, in a way I had never seen or experienced before - in a way that is mostly personal, mostly an expression of myself. 

I also encounter a lot of whackos, so perhaps I'll throw a story in here or there to (hopefully) make you laugh!
